Security Officer - Commercial Real Estate Dispatch

As a Security Officer - Commercial Real Estate Dispatch in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in helping to maintain a secure environment within a commercial real estate location. Your responsibilities will include monitoring property activity, managing access control, and communicating with both team members and visitors. You will use technology and strong customer service skills to assist in responding to incidents and supporting day-to-day security-related operations. Job Schedule : Day Time

Mon 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Monitor and respond to alarms, calls, and incidents at a commercial real estate location in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
  • Coordinate communication with on-site personnel and relevant emergency services as necessary, ensuring timely and accurate information sharing.
  • Document all security-related incidents and dispatch activities accurately in company and client systems.
  • Assist with access control procedures by managing visitor and contractor entry and exit according to location policies.
  • Provide security-related customer service to clients, tenants, and visitors, addressing inquiries and concerns professionally.
  • Support regular and random patrols of the location by dispatching officers as needed and tracking their status.
  • Assist with emergency response activities by initiating protocols and notifying appropriate contacts as directed by Allied Universal policies and site procedures.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.
  • Experience providing customer service is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
