Training Specialist

Overview

Training Specialist is a government contract role restricted to U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents. You must provide documentation that you are a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident to qualify.

The Training Specialist provides programmatic support, reporting, and training for the Hazardous Chemical Program (HCP) at MCIEAST-MCB Camp Lejeune. This role ensures effective management of hazardous materials and compliance with environmental standards by providing technical support, generating custom reports, delivering staff training, and supporting inventory management and program implementation.

Responsibilities

• Provide programmatic support for the HCP, collaborating with program managers and the Environmental Management Division.
• Develop and refine policies, SOPs, and strategies to ensure consistent practices across MCB CAMLEJ.
• Serve as HQMC liaison for Enterprise Application Software (EAS), including testing and feedback.
• Generate custom reports and support all HCP reporting requirements (monthly, quarterly, annual).
• Deliver initial and ongoing training to staff at Issue Points and HM / HW sites on inventory management, shelf-life, and SDS procedures.
• Support data management, inventory accuracy, material receipt, and issuance in EAS.
• Assist with warehouse / storeroom operations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and PPE usage.
• Conduct trend analysis, support program metrics, procurement, and award submissions.
• Optional : Manage Authorized User Lists (AULs) for installation-wide compliance.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
