About Us :
J2T is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling accounts payable processes, ensuring accuracy, and adhering to deadlines.
Job Summary :
As a payroll specialist, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently processing payroll and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll processes and tax regulations and possess excellent attention to detail.
Responsibilities :
- Process weekly / bi-weekly / monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
- Review and verify time and attendance records for accuracy.
- Calculate and process wage garnishments, benefits, and other deductions.
- Prepare and submit payroll tax filings in a timely manner.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues, deductions, and tax-related matters.
- Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure accurate employee data and resolve discrepancies.
- Generate reports and provide analysis related to payroll data as needed.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of payroll software / system upgrades.
Qualifications :
- Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role.
- Manufacturing or construction industry experience
- Strong understanding of payroll processes, tax laws, and regulations.
- Proficient in using payroll software and Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
