Job description

The new UX Director will play a critical role in building and leading a creative team, dedicated to designing beautiful, intuitive, and pleasurable user experiences.

This FTE position reports to the VP of Product at our client's Seattle office.

You will :

Expand, lead, and mentor a team of UX and visual designers
Ensure consistent and cohesive user experiences across Web, mobile, and marketing
Lead design reviews and discuss decisions and tradeoffs in an open forum
Collaborate with PM, Analytics, and Engineering to turn strategic product visions into creative, delightful UX
Be a “player coach” who’s willing to get your hands dirty
Utilize A / B testing to drive continual improvements to the site experience

You are :

The unique product designer who’s equally obsessed with visuals and business outcomes

Comfortable with operating at conceptual levels and down-and-dirty pixel polishing

A curious and critical thinker, able to articulate complex ideas with humility and humor

Familiar with the design considerations imposed by technical constraints

Intensely interested in leveraging user tests and feedback to guide design decisions

A U.S. citizen or permanent resident and able to work full time in our Seattle offices

Skills

You have experience :

Designing and shipping interfaces for mobile-first users

Integrating a dynamic UX team into the Agile development workflow

Building and maintaining pattern libraries in a responsive web product

Managing web and mobile UX teams (5+ years)
