Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN) - Mother Baby Unit

Location : Milwaukee, WI 53226

Duration : 4+ Months (Possibilities of Extension)

Shift : Night Shift (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM), 12 hours / day, 3 days / week

Schedule : Rotating shifts if needed. Every other weekend. Holidays if contracted over Christmas and New Year’s. Floating to 7EP (same patient population). Will schedule less if staffing allows.

Job Summary :

The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive care to postpartum mothers and newborns in an inpatient setting. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care, with a focus on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding support, and newborn care. The nurse will float to similar units as needed and work primarily night shifts.

Responsibilities :

• Deliver nursing care to postpartum mothers and newborns.
• Manage cases involving postpartum hemorrhage, cesarean sections, and vaginal deliveries.
• Administer medications including magnesium sulfate.
• Support breastfeeding and maternal education.
• Float to 7EP unit as needed to care for similar patient population.
• Work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
