About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN)

Hours per Shift : 12

Experience : Minimum of 2 years of experience required

License : Valid nursing license required

Certifications : ACLS, BLS

Must-Have :

• Experience in Acute Care and Critical Care
• Ability to titrate drips (Levophed, Propofol, Insulin, Dopamine, Neosynephrine, Precedex)
• RNs will read cardiac strips; no monitor techs available

Description :

This position is in an Intensive Care Unit with 16 beds.

The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 2.

There is a Hospitalist or Intensivist in-house.

Respiratory Therapy is available 24 / 7.

All necessary equipment such as vents, CPAP, and BiPAP is provided.

RNs are required to work every other weekend.

One major and one minor holiday are required.

There may be on-call requirements for low census situations.

Nurses must respond within 30 minutes if called in.

Staff may be required to float based on operational needs.

Scrub colors include black, cocoa brown, charcoal grey, navy blue, and khaki.

The charting system used is MediTech.

Unit / department-specific orientation will be provided.
