POSITION TITLE : Aquatics Maintenance Technician
DEPARTMENT : Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center (Kroc Center Hawaii)
SUPERVISOR : Aquatic Manager
FLSA STATUS : Non-Exempt, FT Hourly Pay Range $16.50 - $17.60

Position Summary
The Aquatics Maintenance Technician is responsible for taking care of the aquatics facility by ensuring safe water chemical levels and maintaining the integrity of pool structures and equipment. The Aquatics Maintenance Technician is also responsible for the cleanliness of the aquatic facility through the development and execution of a timely maintenance schedule and th establishment of standard operating procedures.
The Kroc Center Hawaii Aquatics Maintenance Technician will have a deep commitment to the mission of The Salvation Army, which will be evident in his or her professional life and the manner in which he or she represents The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center in the community.

The position requires sitting; climbing and / or balancing; stooping, kneeling, bending, stretching, crouching and / or crawling; standing; walking; manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination; use of vision; driving a vehicle; pushing / pulling / lifting / carrying 50-75 pounds and occasionally more than 75 pounds. This employee may also be required to work weekends and evenings.
Communication Demands
The position requires talking to co-workers, clients, vendors; requires written communication to and from co-workers, clients, vendor; requires responding to written or verbal requests of co-workers, clients, and vendors; requires training / giving verbal and written instructions; requires receiving verbal and written instructions.
The position requires the ability to interact with co-workers and the public in a positive, professional manner in conformity with The Salvation Army Mission Statement. The position also requires the ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds and circumstances.
Equipment Needs
Chemical feeders, chemicals, pool vacuums, wet / dry vacuums, pool filters, power washer, and other pool maintenance equipment. Power tools, hammer, wrench, screwdrivers, hand drill.
Clearances
The candidate chosen for this position will be required to pass a criminal history information check. Conviction of a crime will not automatically preclude employment. The circumstances involved in the conviction(s) will be considered.
