We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Permanent Payroll Specialist to join our team in the Tech industry. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to a fast-paced, growing organization.

As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our company's payroll operations.

You will be working closely with our finance and human resources teams, ensuring all payroll transactions are processed efficiently.

This position is full-time and offers competitive pay and benefits.

Responsibilities :

1. Process and manage company payroll every pay period.

2. Maintain payroll processing system and records by gathering, calculating, and inputting data.

3. Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and errors.

4. Update payroll records by tracking changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, job title and department / division transfers, etc.

5. Prepare reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and non-taxable wages.

6. Determine payroll liabilities by calculating employee federal and state income, social security taxes, employer's social security, unemployment, and workers compensation payments.

7. Balance the payroll accounts by resolving payroll discrepancies.

8. Provide payroll information by answering questions and requests.

9. Adhere to payroll policies and procedures and comply with relevant law.

10. Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies in timesheet and payroll records.

11. Honor confidentiality of employees’ pay records.

12. Complete payroll reports for record-keeping purposes or managerial review.

13. Determine organization’s tax obligations by calculating national and council taxes as well as National Insurance contributions.

14. Perform the distribution of wages through issuance of paper checks or direct transfers to employees' bank accounts.

Qualifications :

1. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role.

2. Proven experience with payroll systems and processes.

3. Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices.

4. Very good knowledge of legislation and regulations of the field.

5. Proficient in MS Office and good knowledge of relevant software ( Kronos, Payforce) and databases.

6. Trustworthy with attention to confidentiality.

7. Outstanding organizational ability with great attention to detail.

8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

9. High level of accuracy and efficiency.

10. Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines.

11. Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, human resources, or a related field is preferred.
