HRMVAa proud MechanAir companyis seeking a Project Manager to lead plumbing / mechanica / HVAC construction projects across our commercial, industrial, and federal / government portfolio.
In this role, youll oversee projects from bid to closeout, ensuring alignment across scope, budget, safety, and quality. Youll collaborate daily with field leadership, finance, and executive stakeholders in a private-equity-backed environment built on accountability, precision, and people-centered leadership.

What Youll Do
- Lead multiple plumbing / HVAC / mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget compliance.
- Oversee daily coordination with superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, and suppliers to keep projects on track and safety-compliant.
- Develop and manage project budgets, cost projections, and change orders; partner with accounting for accurate financial reporting.
- Conduct preconstruction meetings, manpower forecasts, and procurement schedules.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, engineers, GCs, and contracting officers.
- Administer project contracts in accordance with FAR / DFARS, Davis-Bacon, Buy America, and certified payroll
- Lead OAC meetings and ensure timely submittals, RFIs, and closeout documentation.
- Partner with Safety and Field Leadership to uphold OSHA 1926 standards and MechanAir safety protocols.
- Support lessons-learned sessions, process improvements, and platform-wide alignment across MechanAir entities.
What You Bring (Minimum Qualifications meet ONE path)
Path A : Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field + 5 years of full-time HVAC / mechanical project management experience,OR
Path B : 8+ years of progressive experience managing mechanical construction projects with demonstrated financial and operational results.Additional Skills & Requirements (for all candidates) :
Proven ability to manage complex plumbin / HVAC / mechanical projects from design through commissioning.Working knowledge of FAR / DFARS, Davis-Bacon Act, and federal contracting compliance.Strong financial acumen with experience in cost control, forecasting, and change order management.Proficiency with project management platforms (Procore, Sage 100 Contractor, ServiceTitan, Microsoft Project, Excel).Excellent communication and leadership skills to engage clients, teams, and executive stakeholders.Bonus Points :
Experience in private-equity or multi-entity construction environments.Credentials such as PMP, CCM, LEED AP, or PE license.Familiarity with design-build delivery, federal audits, and BIM coordination.Bilingual (English / Spanish) and effective in field environments.Compensation & Benefits
