Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least 1 year of acute rehab experience and a valid AK license or eligibility for a rewarding inpatient rehabilitation assignment.
Responsibilities
Position is based in a large inpatient rehabilitation facility with 56 beds, including a 10-bed LTACH / ICUPrimary unit is inpatient OT rehab serving patients with strokes, spinal cord and brain injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic conditions, and amputationsDay shifts are 4x10hr, 7 : 00am to 5 : 30pm, including approximately 2 weekend days per monthNo on-call requiredNo floating outside assigned scope requiredEpic is used for charting and experience is requiredCaseload includes complex neurological, orthopedic, and post-acute patients in an interdisciplinary team environmentAll occupational therapists are expected to float between facilities within the state if neededFormer permanent staff must be separated from the facility for at least 3 months before returning as a travelerTravelers may work for a maximum of 1 calendar year at this facility and must take a 6-month break before returningOrientation modules must be completed prior to start and annually; typical completion time is 16 hoursScrub color is flexible; any color is allowedParking is provided at no chargeHousing options in the area may be limited, so candidates are encouraged to research accommodations in advanceFirst-time travelers are welcome to applyRequirements
