MTM Transit in partnership with Valley Metro is looking for Full-Time Paratransit Shuttle Bus Drivers (Entry-Level, Non-CDL) to join our team in Gilbert, AZ. We currently have training classes that start every week.

What You'll Need :
Experience, Education & Certifications :
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalentMust be 21 years or olderValid U.S. Driver's License for the past 3 yearsPossess valid authorization to work in the State of Arizona and the United StatesMust be able to pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screeningMust pass criminal background check investigation & Motor Vehicle Record checkNo DUI's, DWI's or Reckless driving in the past 5 yearsMust not have more than 1 moving violation during each of the last 3 yearsIn the event that your license has been previously revoked, you must have at least 3 full subsequent years post reinstatement with no violationsSchedule flexibility : Looking for individuals who are available 7 days a week between the hours of 4 : 00am - 1 : 00am (35-40+ hours per week) Shifts will be assigned after training is completedSkills :
Ability to use a tablet, GPS, two-way radio, or other electronic deviceAbility to maintain high level of confidentialityAbility to communicate with others and comprehend instructionsAbility to understand highway traffic signs, signals, maps, manifests, and schedulesAbility to obtain knowledge of FTA, ADA, and DOT regulationsFamiliarity with the main roadways and major highways in the service areaWhat You'll Do :
Provide safe and reliable transportationDemonstrate excellent defensive driving skillsProvide excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholdersMust assist with passenger loading and unloading from vehicleMust assist with any mobility device and securement as required for safety protocolsEnsure the on-time pick-up and drop off of the customerDemonstrates understanding and sensitivity to the needs of older adults and individuals with disabilitiesComplete thorough vehicle pre-trip, post-trip, and DVI inspections as requiredComplete paperwork as requiredUtilize tablets or electronic devices as requiredEqual Opportunity Employer : MTM is an equal opportunity employer.
