- Reporting to the Software Engineering Technical Manager, this role is responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing backend system configurations within our in-house Insurance Policy Management Software (VUE).
- You will support both the launch of new products and the ongoing maintenance of existing products and configurations to ensure system reliability, accuracy, and performance.
- Key Responsibilities Manage and optimize backend system settings to support the implementation and maintenance of new and existing insurance product features Oversee product configuration updates, including implementing new features, accommodating carrier or product changes, and managing renewal settings Create, update, and test document templates to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with product and regulatory requirements Ensure all insurance product updates are accurately reflected within the system and aligned with carrier, regulatory, and operational requirements Implement product-related configuration changes in collaboration with the Software Engineering team and other stakeholders Develop and maintain detailed documentation for system features and configurations, including both technical references and user-friendly guides Keep documentation current to reflect the latest system functionality and configuration options Serve as the primary point of contact for backend configuration support and related inquiries Collaborate with cross-functional partners, including the maintenance queue specialist, to identify, investigate, and resolve misconfiguration issues promptly Design and implement process improvements to minimize configuration errors and enhance overall system reliability Identify and execute opportunities to optimize configurations for better performance, efficiency, and user experience Proactively monitor backend configurations, troubleshoot issues, and ensure overall system stability and data integrity Test and validate configuration changes to maintain quality, reliability, and compliance standards Required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned Requirements and Qualifications 1+ years of experience as a Platform or Systems Administrator, or in a related configuration or technical operations role Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Technology, or a related field preferred Experience managing backend system configurations within policy management, SaaS, or enterprise software environments Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills with keen attention to detail and data accuracy Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain high-quality standards in a fast-paced setting Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams Proactive, adaptable, and solution-oriented, with a continuous improvement mindset Familiarity with insurance systems, product configuration, or regulatory requirements is a plus Perks Health, dental, and vision plans Amazing work-life balance with 4 weeks of Paid Time Off 10 Paid Company Holidays with 2 floating holidays 401K Programs with employer match Personal assistance programs for support in a healthy personal and work life Why Veracity?
