Cath Lab Technologist Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience in Cardiac Cath Lab or interventional cardiology

Valid BLS certification required

ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) certification required

ACLS certification preferred

Strong teamwork and communication skills

Ability and willingness to teach and educate others

Key Responsibilities in Cardiac Cath Lab

Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures (including femoral and radial approach, IFR, FFR, balloon pumps)

Operate and maintain Cath Lab equipment : C-arms (GE), Maclab hemodynamic system, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, EPIC EMR

Assist with balloon pumps and temporary pacemakers

Collaborate within a 24 / 7 STEMI program and foster a positive healthcare team environment

Float between procedure rooms and pre-op area as needed

Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams and support staff
