Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Mammography Technologist with 2+ years of experience in advanced breast imaging for a large breast center.
Responsibilities
Work in a large breast imaging center with an average of 10 technologists on site each dayPerform both screening and diagnostic mammograms with an average of 38 screenings and 18 diagnostics per dayUtilize GE Senographe Pristina mammography equipmentDocumentation is completed in Cerner and Penrad systemsShifts are Monday through Friday from 7 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PM, with potential Saturday shifts as neededFloating to other breast centers within the system may be requiredPerform stereotactic biopsies, pre-surgical localizations, and contrast enhanced mammographyMust be able to educate and support patients with prior breast surgeries or cancer treatmentsUniform consists of pink top and black pantsWorking environment includes a supportive, high-volume team with modern mammography technologyUp-to-date documentation and credentials required prior to starting assignmentsRequirements
Minimum 2 years of experience in mammography, including screening and advanced imaging views such as magnification and spot compressionCurrent ARRT (R) and (M) Mammography certification requiredCompliance with MQSA standards : 40 hours initial mammography training, current continuing education, recent case numbers (200 / 2 years), 8 hours digital mammo training, 8 hours digital tomosynthesis trainingBLS certification requiredIV certification and competency in invasive and sterile procedures requiredExperience handling complex cases and demonstrating them to radiologistsRecent experience in a women's imaging center, sensitive to patients with a history of cancer or treatmentLicense required if applicableBenefits
