Job Responsibilities

The General Manager leads a team of service & customer service professionals (2 Operations Managers, 3 Service Managers, Customer Service / Dispatch Manager, 2 Customer Service Representatives, and 20+ Pest Prevention Specialists) and reports directly to the Brand President.

The ultimate responsibility of the General Manager is to manage the sales, customer service, and service-delivery components of our company operations while successfully leading a team to achieve budgeted revenue & profitability targets.

This is achieved through the main job responsibilities, as follows :

  • Lead pest control operations across 5 territories and resolve escalated issues
  • Drive Customer Service, Sales, and Service-Delivery teams to achieve budgeted financial results (Revenue & Profitability)
  • Oversee the onboarding of new employees and the new customer intake process
  • Oversee route scheduling, commissions paid, and licensing for the field technicians
  • Fleet management (gas cards, vehicle registration, titles, license plates, insurance, etc.)
  • Analyze and report territory performance (understand payroll, service revenue, etc.)
  • Oversee accounts receivable and company expenses
  • Assist in month-end close process, ensuring a timely and accurate close
  • Manage multiple state compliance programs to ensure continued operation of the Business (Business Licensing, Pest Control Licenses, Technician Training Programs, etc.)
  • Schedule and prepare companywide meetings and participate as a member of the safety committee
  • Oversee office / warehouse maintenance and repairs
  • Other tasks as assigned by the Brand President

Job Environment

The General Manager position is a vital role within our organization and will be based remotely. The following abilities are needed to be successful in this role :

  • Sit / work at desk for most of the day
  • Travel will be required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • 8am - 5pm; Mon - Fri (occasional hours on weekend, as needed)

Qualifications

  • Ability to work West Coast Hours Necessary; ideal candidate will be located on the West Coast
  • 3 years of regional management experience in a route-based, service-oriented business (at least $5 million revenues) (pest control experience strongly preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree required (business management, accounting, or finance preferred)
  • 5 years of people management experience
  • Valid drivers license
  • Pass background check (clean driving record, no criminal history)
  • Drug-free (pre-employment drug screening to be performed)
