JOB OVERVIEW

Kaiyuh Services, LLC is seeking a full-time General Maintenance Worker-Instrumenation to join our team. This position performs preventive maintenance procedures on the water treatment equipment for the Yuma Desalting Plant.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) procedures on Yuma Desalting Plant water treatment equipment.
• Performs general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and instrumentation work.
• Assist in the installation, repairs, maintenance, of telemetering, and controlling instruments used to measure and control variables, such as pressure, flow, temperature, motion, force, and chemical composition, using hand tools and precision instruments.
• Using plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings
• Repairs may include replacing sinks, water coolers, and toilets
• Painting structures and equipment
• Repairing or replacing concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks,
• Replacing damaged paneling and floor tiles, hanging doors, and installing door locks, replacing broken windowpanes, and performing general maintenance on equipment and machinery.
• Perform simple maintenance duties not requiring practical skill and knowledge of a trade (e.g., changing light bulbs and replacing faucet washers)
• Housekeeping responsibilities throughout the Yuma Desalting Plant

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Job is performed in an office and field setting. During work in the field setting, the candidate will be exposed to an environment typical of the southwest desert. The candidate may also at times be required to work around chemicals typical of a water treatment facility.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking, or standing for prolonged periods of time; most of time is spent sitting in a comfortable position with frequent opportunity to move about.
