About The Position

Job Title : Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Shift : 8H Days / 10H Days

Hours per Shift : 8 hours / 10 hours per shift, open to adjustment based on unit needs

Experience : Minimum of 2 years

License : Required

Certifications : BLS, Certified Nuclear Cardiology Technologist (NMTCB-NCT), Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (ARRT-N)

Must-Have : No special skills outside IV starts

Description :

Candidates may not have been directly employed by any associated facility within the past year.

Candidates who were employed PRN through outside firms will be considered.

This position may require floating between campuses as needed.

Call outs are strongly discouraged and could lead to termination.

The department performs a variety of imaging studies, including cardiac, HIDA, bone scans, gastric emptying, GI bleeds, lung scans, brain death assessments, and DAT scans.

The average number of scans / studies performed daily is 12, with 2 being cardiac.

The department uses Meditech for EMR and Fuji Synapse PACS for imaging documentation.

Department-specific equipment includes Siemens Symbia T6.

Radiologist services are available in-house until 5 PM, with remote reads until midnight.

Starting IVs is a required skill for this position.

Weekend and holiday shifts are required.

On-call duty is required with a 30-minute response time.

Black scrubs are the designated dress code for this position.

Department-specific orientation will be provided.

The hospital reserves the right to cancel shifts as necessary during the assignment.
