Care Career is seeking a travel nurse RN Psychiatric for a travel nursing job in Rapid City, South Dakota.

Job Description & Requirements

Shift : 12 hours, rotating

Behavioral Health – RN (Variable 12-hr shifts)

Location : Rapid City, SD

Contract : 13 weeks, 36 guaranteed hours / week

Requirements – RN :

SD RN license in hand

BLS required; CPI preferred before start (can be obtained on assignment)

Psychiatric experience with children / adolescents (ages 5–17) and adults

Skills : medication administration (PO / injectable), verbal de-escalation, physical restraint if needed, group skills, assessments, care plans, documentation, vital signs, minor wound care, Columbia Suicide Risk Screen, admission / discharge processes

Must be able to work in team nursing approach

Other Info :

Patient ratio : RN 1 : 8 with tech

Must live 100 miles from Rapid City, SD

No dementia, severe autism, forensic patients, or inmates

Variable shifts; blocked scheduling not accommodated; every other weekend required
