Schedule / Availability Requirements :

Stat date : April 2025 ongoing for 9-12 months

Schedule : 24hr call 7a-7a

How many days needed / month? 8-12 days per month

Facility Location : Mercy Medical Center Redding

Setting : Acute Care, Level 2 Trauma Center (acts as a Level 1)

Duties : ED call, rounds, and consultations

Required Procedures :

EMR : Cerner Care B

Support Staff : Hospital has hospital-based APPs that support the ortho-spine service line. Hospital has a separate call panel for neurosurgery.

Reason for Coverage : One of two orthopedic trauma specialists in the community is relocating.

Dealbreakers : if not fellowship trained in Ortho Trauma

Travel Preferences :

Preferred Lodging : Preferred hotels

Air Travel : Local, no flights?

Please detail any anticipated travel exceptions, for example a dietary restriction necessitating specific lodging situations. Travel exception requests will be denied if this information is not part of the provider presentation. Credentialing Information :

Timeframe : 60-90 days

Requirements : Current board certification in orthopedic surgery. Current CA fluoroscopy permit.

Billing enrollment - Is this position providing services in lieu of an existing enrolled provider for a period of 60 days or less? No

Additional Details / Questions Answered by Facility :

Patients / day : 20-30 patients on service per day.

Types of cases : general orthopedic (upper / lower extremities) and traumatic orthopedic injuries, preferred training / experience in hand surgery.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Board Certified - Required

Active CA License - Required

BLS, DEA during credentialing, Current CA fluoroscopy permit REQUIRED by start date. Will consider those willing to obtain as long as they will have it by April 2025!

Fellowship trained in Ortho Trauma is REQUIRED!

Clean Malpractice - Required
