Principal Duties
As an Apprentice Maintenance Specialist, you will :
- Work independently and with journey-level employees on maintenance projects.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems.
- Repair and / or perform preventative maintenance on buildings.
- Paint, finish and refinish wood, metal and other materials.
- Weld, solder, braze, and / or grind various materials.
- Build, fabricate, or repair structures from verbal instructions, blueprints and / or working drawings.
- Provide technical consultation to originators of project job orders, including development of project plans and related estimates.
The Best Qualified Candidate
The best qualified candidate for this position will have :
- Experience in building / facility maintenance.
- Experience in one or more of the following : plumbingelectricalweldingpaintingconstructionhand toolspower tools
