Duties

• Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Provide therapeutic exercises and modalities as directed by the supervising therapist.
• Monitor patient progress and report any changes in condition or response to treatment.
• Educate patients and their families on exercises, home care techniques, and safety measures.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress notes in compliance with medical standards.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Uphold a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols.

Requirements

Qualifications - associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. - Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to physical therapy practice. - Experience in hospital medicine, pediatrics, acute care, inpatient settings, or skilled nursing facilities is preferred but not required. - Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members. - Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment. - Commitment to providing compassionate care and promoting patient well-being.
