Position Levels and Salary Ranges :
- Entry Level - $85,000
- Mid Level - $90,000 - $110,000
- Senior Level - $117,200 - $143,000
Primary Purpose of Position
In this role, you will perform advanced reactor engineering problem-solving to support nuclear plant operations. You will be responsible for making key technical decisions, leveraging your extensive knowledge in reactor engineering and applicable industry codes and regulations.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Provide expert technical guidance to develop and implement engineering analyses, activities, and programs.Consult directly with teams to identify and resolve issues related to reactor core movement and control.Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely execution of work, while maintaining configuration management standards.Conduct independent research, reviews, and analyses supporting various technical projects and programs.Propose new equipment and techniques to enhance performance, reduce costs, improve safety, and comply with regulatory updates.Achieve Qualified Nuclear Engineering status within 24 months of starting in the role.Participate in a variety of activities, including emergency response, departmental coverage, and outage support duties.Minimum Qualifications for Entry Level Engineer
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil / Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear).Must meet access requirements and complete favorable medical examinations according to position duties.Minimum Qualifications for Mid-Level Engineer
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil / Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear) with 2 years of nuclear or relevant engineering experience.Must meet access requirements and complete favorable medical examinations according to position duties.Minimum Qualifications for Senior Engineer
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil / Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear) with 5 years of nuclear or relevant engineering experience.Must meet access requirements and complete favorable medical examinations according to position duties.Preferred Qualifications
Degree in Nuclear Engineering strongly preferred.Experience in a Nuclear plant setting.Current or previous QNE certification.Professional Engineer registration.Advanced technical degree or coursework in related fields.Proven expertise in reactor engineering.
