Job Details

Responsibilities :

As the Assistant Controller, you will play a pivotal role in our financial management, contributing to our strategic goals and driving financial success. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to :

1. Assisting the Controller in managing all aspects of accounting operations, including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk.

2. Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws for financial and tax reporting.

3. Supervising the accounting team members and overseeing their daily activities.

4. Assisting in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.

5. Participating in the budgeting process and performing financial analysis, forecasting, and modeling.

6. Collaborating with external auditors and managing the audit process.

7. Supporting the Controller in ensuring that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards.

8. Identifying opportunities to improve processes and procedures, and implementing new strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Qualifications :

To be considered for the role of Permanent Assistant Controller, candidates must possess the following :

1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.

2. CPA or CMA certification is required.

3. At least 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Manufacturing industry.

4. Proficiency in using financial software and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

5. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting, preferably within a manufacturing environment.

6. Excellent leadership and team management skills.

7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

9. The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

10. High level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality.
