Job descriptionOversee the hiring, training, and supervision of maintenance staff. Manage the department's budget and procurement of parts, tools, and equipment. Plan, assign, and monitor daily maintenance operations to ensure timely completion of work orders and proper coverage. Direct and participate in general maintenance tasks, including wall repairs, lock replacements, lighting, painting, and equipment installation. Maintain the facility's interior and exterior, including landscaping and grounds care. Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies. Lead staff training, in-services, and quality control initiatives. Conduct regular building tours to evaluate work quality and compliance. Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA and internal safety standards. Complete and document all required tests and inspections for regulatory compliance. Enforce infection control practices and ensure proper use of PPE and tools. Create and manage the maintenance department budget for cost-effective operations. Maintain accurate records of department expenses, personnel, and supplies. Oversee the procurement and inventory of materials and equipment. Serve as the liaison between residents, staff, and building administration. Communicate operational updates and project timelines to all stakeholders. Ensure professional, courteous, and timely service to residents, staff, and visitors. Promote a positive and respectful environment throughout the facility. High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred. 3+ years of experience in facility maintenance leadership. Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing. Familiarity with OSHA and life safety code regulations. Effective leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, and walking for extended periods. Must reside within the service area.
