Billing Representative- FT

We are in need of a motivated, hard-working team player who is a quick learner and can work independently behind the scenes. The Billing Representative is responsible for ensuring compliance with TEAMCare's billing and collections policies and procedures, timely and accurate invoicing, as well as inputting and monitoring documents, transactions and records impacting the Accounts Receivable system.

Major Duties and Responsibilities include :

• Ensuring health providers are paid for medical services rendered
• Payment posting
• Reviewing patient medical records
• Coordinating reimbursement activities with payers
• Billing patients for medical services
• Verifying medical insurance
• Utilizing EMR software / clearinghouse to perform medical billing and coding functions
• Creating and submitting disputes, reconsiderations, investigations, and appeals to insurance carriers
• May be handling claims, collections, reimbursements, transfers, and insurance fraud issues in writing and over the phone directly with carriers and patients
