Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a Neuro ICU Registered Nurse (RN) for a top Healthcare client.
This critical care role coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care for complex neurological patients, adhering to specialized standards of practice. The RN collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to provide compassionate, individualized care using established nursing models, serving as a vital advocate for patients and families to ensure an unparalleled patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.
Job Responsibilities
- Deliver and coordinate specialized nursing care in the Neuro ICU, managing patients with complex and critical neurological conditions.
- Perform procedures, intensive monitoring, and other functions as ordered by medical providers, ensuring thorough and timely documentation.
- Teach patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment plan, and follow-up measures, translating complex medical terminology for complete understanding.
- Educate patients and families regarding non-medicinal follow-up measures (e.g., diet, exercise, disease prevention) to prepare them for self-management.
- Manage evidence-based practices and continuous process improvement initiatives to meet quality measures and enhance exceptional care.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver a holistic patient treatment plan that promotes recovery.
- Serve as an active advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, consistently modeling a commitment to the organization's vision and values.
Requirements
Education
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) is required.Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required.Experience
Minimum of one (1) year of Acute Care RN experience (within the last 3 years) is required.Higher-level acuity experience (e.g., ICU, PCU) is preferred; however, strong Med / Surg candidates will be considered.Prior experience in a Neurology or Neuro ICU setting is highly desirable.Certifications / Licenses
Florida RN license and / or approved multistate RN license is required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation.Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS - AHA) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.Skills
