Job Summary : The Retail Route Representative is primarily responsible for the rollout of new products in local c hain and independent grocery stores in the New Orleans Metro and Northshore markets. This position will also assist with the existing territory and drive loyalty by calling on and delivering coffee tea and equipment to existing food service accounts.
- Builds effective partnerships with local chain and independent grocery stores and other individually owned businesses
- Assumes responsibility for maintaining and growing a profitable customer base by understanding customer needs and expectations educating customers on products and effectively negotiating product pricing
- Loads unloads stocks and rotates products to ensure appropriate inventory levels
- Maintains an efficient routing schedule with flexibility based upon customer needs
- Proactively seeks and acquires new business opportunities in the market
- Stays abreast of competition within assigned territory and notifies supervisor on competitive situations regarding new products selling tactics and pricing in an accurate and timely manner
- Sets up product displays and equipment at customer locations local festivals and company sponsored events
- Troubleshoots and makes minor repairs on Bunn coffee and beverage equipment
- Fills in on routes as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

High school diploma / GEDA minimum of one year of overall sales experience direct store delivery (DSD) route sales desirablePrevious experience in the consumer-packaged goods (CPG) industry preferredFamiliarity and experience troubleshooting and repairing BUNN beverage equipmentQualifications : The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge skills abilities and attributes required to perform this job successfully.
