Associate Planner
Position Summary :

Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, this pivotal role involves establishing, communicating, and coordinating the execution of production plans to ensure alignment with customer demands, forecast projections, and sales goals.

Essential Responsibilities :
- Collaborate in formulating the plant-level master schedule, ensuring alignment with customer demands and utilization of MOS-level loading principles.
- Oversee and monitor the accuracy of MRP or equivalent system outputs, optimizing setup, parameters, and daily dispatch lists.
- Work closely with Customer Service and Operations teams, including Shop Floor Supervisors, to prioritize and schedule work across all work centers efficiently.
- Monitor and enhance planning, scheduling, and execution of shop orders, optimizing parts flow, material utilization, and part traceability.
- Contribute to maintaining capacity by ensuring proper staffing, resource scheduling, and utilization.
- Develop and maintain visual metrics of team performance, including work in progress (WIP), in alignment with Magellan MOS requirements.
- Participate in MOS procedures (Corporate Operation System) training and facilitate MOS meetings.
Position Requirements :
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of related experience in planning and scheduling, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous experience in planning and scheduling within the manufacturing industry preferred.
- Proficient in MRP / ERP systems, LEAN principles, JIT methodologies, shop safety practices, and customer and project management.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, Project, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
