Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking an ICU Registered Nurse (RN) for a top Healthcare client.
This dynamic role provides compassionate and reliable care to critically ill patients requiring close monitoring and frequent assessments. The ICU RN utilizes strong clinical judgment to make autonomous assessments and manage treatment delivery safely and effectively, working within a collaborative team to provide excellent, life-saving care.
Job Responsibilities
- Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or clinical situation using advanced critical care assessment skills.
- Utilize sound clinical judgment to safely and effectively manage the delivery of complex patient care autonomously.
- Monitor critical vital signs and patient status continually, enabling timely intervention in life-threatening situations.
- Serve as an advocate for patients as part of the interdisciplinary team, protecting their safety and rights.
- Educate patients and their families regarding medications, procedures, and treatments, providing emotional and clinical support throughout their stay.
- Coordinate patient functions with physicians and other departments of the hospital, ensuring efficient and collaborative care delivery.
- Maintain clear, concise, and thorough documentation of all assessments, interventions, and patient progress in the medical record.
Requirements
Education
Registered Nurse Diploma or Associate Degree is required.Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.Experience
Minimum of one (1) year of Recent ICU RN experience in an acute care setting is REQUIRED.Certifications / Licenses
Florida RN license and / or approved multistate RN license is required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation.Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS or BCLS Instructor) is required within 30 days of employment start date.NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.American Heart Association ACLS Provider issued card is required within 6 months of employment start date.PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS or PALS Instructor) must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.Skills
Proven ability to make autonomous clinical assessments and manage complex critical care treatment protocols.Strong skills in monitoring critical vital signs and intervening effectively in emergent situations.Excellent collaboration and patient advocacy abilities for working within the interdisciplinary team.Benefits
