Responsibilities
- Collaborate with transportation team to deliver transportation infrastructure projects for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, local jurisdictions, and other clients nationwide
- Lead preparation of plans including geometric roadway design, drainage design, right-of-way layout, traffic analysis and design, traffic safety, and highway safety improvement program projects
- Work with senior engineers and project managers to solve complex engineering challenges
- Coordinate with other disciplines such as environmental, structural, utility, or electrical engineers to integrate their concerns into transportation designs
- Utilize modeling software such as OpenRoads Designer
- Mentor EIT’s and co-ops in the transportation group
- Build meaningful internal and external relationships
- Potential development opportunities to grow into a project management role
Skills and Qualifications :
Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited Civil Engineering programPE registration is required5-10 years of related civil transportation experienceGood communication skills, organization skills, team player, and detail orientedSoftware experience with Microsoft Office, MicroStation & OpenRoads, StormCAD and / or ORD Drainage desiredExperience using software such as ProjectWise, AutoCAD & Civil 3D, HEC-RAS a plusSelf-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration toolsTo learn more about B&N's Perks and Culture .
