Collections Specialist

Vaco Atlanta is hiring a Collections Specialist to join a growing, fast-paced organization! This person will manage a defined portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring timely collections, accurate reconciliation, and strong customer communication. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable collaborating across departments to resolve issues and improve overall AR health.

What You’ll Do :

• Manage an assigned portfolio of customer accounts with accuracy and urgency
• Reconcile invoices, payments, credits, and account activity to ensure clean and accurate AR records
• Partner closely with Sales, Operations, and Finance to validate account details and resolve discrepancies
• Distribute periodic statements, invoices, and dunning letters based on NetSuite cadence
• Conduct weekly collection calls for items aged 30+ days and maintain detailed call logs in NetSuite
• Update customer profiles with relevant information to support effective and timely collections
• Prepare and submit complete credit memo request packages for review and approval
• Escalate high-risk accounts by compiling detailed summaries and supporting documentation
• Run and review weekly aging reports and provide updates on top accounts in the portfolio
• Collaborate with the Cash Applications team to validate and process payments received
• Ensure payments are applied accurately and provide customers with updated statements when needed
