Position Summary

The successful candidate will play a critical role in our Corporate Payroll team. This role requires actual payroll processing experience, preferably handling payroll for 1000+ employees. The environment is fast-paced and customer service-driven, requiring interaction with a diverse workforce including colleagues and management. A focus on confidentiality, operational excellence, and top-notch customer service is essential.

Job Responsibilities

Process US and Canadian payroll with accuracy and timeliness.

Problem-solve to remediate any processing errors.

Maintain compliance and provide high-level customer service.

Communicate effectively with local management teams.

Approach processes and systems with a continuous improvement mindset.

Complete and balance all required payroll reconciliations accurately and timely.

Complete Form 941, W2, T4, and other relevant tax documentation for all subsidiaries.

Maintain data compliantly and securely.

Ensure accurate process documentation, including manuals and SOPs.

Provide guidance and support to employees professionally.

Serve as a secondary processor for US and Canadian non-exempt payrolls.

Collaborate with management and other departments for superior customer service.

Job Requirements

Minimum of three years of general office / accounting experience; payroll experience is a must, preferably handling payroll for 1000+ employees.

Associate's / Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.

Intermediate understanding of accounting / mathematical procedures.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Strong strategic thinking and attention to detail.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Knowledge of IBM (CICS & IMS) and MDM systems.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Physical requirements include standing, filing, bending, sitting for extended periods, and working on the telephone.
