New Jersey Licensed Inpatient Auditor

A company is looking for an Inpatient Hospital Auditor II.

Key Responsibilities :

Conducts audits of hospital billing and coding practices and identifies billing discrepancies

Compiles audit statistics and presents findings to relevant stakeholders

Trains new staff on audit procedures and updates audit processes in line with new innovations

Required Qualifications :

High School Diploma / GED required; Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management preferred

Minimum of 3 years experience in a medical records department of an acute care hospital or healthcare facility

Experience with DRG validation and ICD-10-CM / PCS training

Requires RHIT, RHIA, or RN with CCS; preferred CCS, CCS-P, or CCA certifications

Knowledge of medical terminology, hospital structures, and payment systems is required
