American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring Level II Trauma Center experience and strong neurological and cardiovascular skills.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in the PACU of a Level II Trauma Center hospital environmentPatient ratio is 1 : 2 in the PACU settingVariable start times available between 9 : 00 am and 12 : 30 pmSchedule is 4x10 hour day shifts, 9 : 00 am to 7 : 30 pmOn-call required 4-6 nights in a 6-week period (Monday-Friday 11 pm–7 am, weekends 7 am–7 pm or 7 pm–7 am), approximately 1 weekend / monthExpected to work every other weekend or a total of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week scheduleFloating required to all four hospitals in the system with a home base assignedRotation to phase II PACU outpatient discharge as neededUses SCM documentation systemResponsibilities include patient recovery, monitoring and titrating drips, and supporting outpatient PACU discharge as neededNo restrictions for local travelers; local candidates accepted at the same rateAny solid color scrubs may be worn, but top and bottom must match, with no logos or prints permittedMandatory participation in holiday and hurricane coverage as per hospital policyFree parking provided with decal received at orientationAll finalized time off requests must be declared prior to offer; additional requests not accepted post-offerEmployees or travelers are eligible only if at least 1 year has passed since ending a prior internal contracted positionOrientation to timekeeping and hospital systems provided at start\n \n Requirements\n
Active FL or compact state RN license required at the time of considerationMinimum 1 year of recent PACU RN experienceLevel II Trauma Center experience requiredProficiency in titrating drips and advanced PACU neurological and cardiovascular careCertifications required : ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSSMust provide 2 references from supervisors, managers, charge nurses, or directors within the last yearFlu vaccine required between 10 / 31 and 3 / 31 (medical / religious exemptions accepted)Must reside within 30 minutes of the hospital for call requirementsCompletion of a skills checklist and verification through NURSYS / BON\n Benefits\n
