Director of Development (PJM)
Job Description
The Director of Development (PJM) will :
- Effectively lead the existing Development team on Utility-scale projects
- Acquire real estate rights for development opportunities
- Maintain relationships with landowners and other local stakeholders
- Liaise with other leaders in the business to developer and implement their strategy to market
- Direct resource management processes and output estimates
- Manage external stakeholders supporting environmental assessment campaigns
- Manage external stakeholders supporting property and sales tax abatement efforts
- Manage occasional permitting activities with support from other team members
- Prepare project budgets, schedules, and RFP responses

The Successful Applicant
The Director of Development (PJM) will have :
- 8+ years experience within the renewable industry
- Exposure to utility-scale solar or storage projects
- Experience of identifying and working on greenfield projects
- Has previously been the lead on projects from inception through to project sale
- Experience in mentoring and managing Developers
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field is desirable
- This role can be 100% remote* Please still apply if you have smaller scale projects to date but would like to work on utility scale projects!
What's on Offer
The Director of Development (PJM) will receive :
- $180,000 - $220,000 base salary
