Engineering Technician Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY :
The Engineering Technician is responsible for supporting the Engineering department with drawings (drafting), new part set-ups, customer quotes, custom designs, engineering inquiries, and other engineering task as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Support New Product Development activities as required by engineering.
- Measure and test mechanical components.
- Test prototype products and help develop proper documentation.
- Support existing production activities by providing manufacturing and quality support as required. Provide engineering support to the sales organization.
- Provide Customer Service assistance.
- Work with OEM mechanical, electrical, and compliance engineers to design and implement company provided solutions.
- Responsible for the incorporation of changes into drawings, tooling, and specifications.
