Job descriptionAbility to read and understand basics of shop and service manuals. Must be able to provide own tools. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Punctual to work. Understand union environment and the need to be flexible due to seniority and business needs. Able and willing to work 2nd shift ( 3 : 00 PM - 11 : 30 PM ) or 3rd shift (11 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM) to start. Shift may vary based on seniority and business need. Must have a valid driver's license. Diesel Mechanic experience strongly preferred. Diagnostic equipment knowledge preferred. CDL license preferred (required for 1st and 2nd Class Mechanic). Mobile Air Conditioning (MAC) certification preferred PA and / or NJ State inspection license preferred Must pass drug and alcohol screenings and DOT physical exam. Be able to lift in excess of 75 pounds, push, and pull in excess of 100 pounds. Be able to stand, bend, squat, twist, turn and reach. Be able to have full use of fingers and hands. Must be open to shift work. Be able to work holidays and weekends when needed. Rate ranges from $27.48 to $30.50 per hour, based on experience
