Certified Medical Assistant

The Certified Medical Assistant provides administrative and clinical support for patients using the Virtual Medical Center (VMC) across multiple military treatment facilities. Responsibilities include patient intake, scheduling, verifying eligibility, maintaining electronic health records, assisting with documentation, and supporting clinic operations to ensure efficient, accurate, and compliant patient care.

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Certified Medical Assistant : Commensurate with experience

Pay commensurate with experience.

Certified Medical Assistant Responsibilities Include :

• Greet and register patients, verify eligibility in DEERS, and enter patient data into electronic health records (CHCS, Genesis, AHLTA).
• Schedule, reschedule, and manage patient appointments following clinic guidelines.
• Prepare and maintain patient records, forms, and documentation, file test results and other records accurately.
• Assist patients with intake assessments, document completion, and use of TOLSM and HAIMS systems.
• Support administrative processes, including insurance documentation, patient communications, and workload tracking.
• Assist with quality improvement audits, peer review processes, and data compilation for clinic reporting.
• Utilize Microsoft Office and electronic health record systems to support clinic operations and provider workflow.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
