Job Title : CT Tech - Travel
Position Summary :
The CT Technologist performs diagnostic and computed tomography procedures, ensuring high-quality imaging and patient safety. The technologist must be proficient in both CT and general X-ray modalities, able to start IVs for contrast administration, and capable of working independently while collaborating effectively with other departments to support patient care.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform CT and general radiographic imaging procedures according to established protocols.
- Prepare and position patients to obtain optimal images while minimizing radiation exposure.
- Establish and maintain IV access for contrast administration as needed.
- Operate and maintain imaging and processing equipment safely and effectively.
- Evaluate image quality and ensure proper transmission to PACS.
- Document procedures accurately within the EMR and radiology information systems.
- Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Follow all infection-control, radiation-safety, and departmental policies.
