Manager, Software Engineering (Top Secret Clearance Required)

What You'll Do :

Lead the software design and development lifecycle , from requirements analysis and system design through implementation and testing.

Establish and optimize development standards, coding practices, and quality controls to elevate performance across multiple engineering teams.

Partner with Systems, Electrical, and Software Engineering leaders to drive cross-functional collaboration and efficient project execution.

Manage staffing, hiring, and mentorship for a growing team of engineers fostering technical excellence and professional growth.

Provide leadership in proposal development , cost estimation, and EVMS-based project management .

Contribute to hands-on development and technical reviews to ensure high-assurance product delivery.

What You Bring :

Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software, or Electrical Engineering (Masters preferred).

9+ years of software development experience (7+ with Masters), including 2+ years of technical leadership or team management.

Active DoD Secret Security Clearance (minimum required).

Experience with one or more of the following :

Embedded or real-time software development

Information Assurance / Encryption / Key Management

Naval or tactical communications systems

Secure wired / wireless systems

Familiarity with Agile / DevOps environments, proposal writing, and Basis of Estimate generation .

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on results, mentorship, and innovation.
