About the Position :

The primary focus of the Rolling Wedge Product Manager is to shepherd the Rolling Wedge product through all its beginning stages - including testing the product and bringing the product to market. Afterwards, the Rolling Wedge Product Manager will concentrate on supporting the product. This position will spend a great deal of time physically working with the product during production, testing, and product demonstration.

Experience Required :

  • 1+ years' experience in a similar role designing weldments or steel fabrications
  • 4-year engineering degree (Mechanical, Agricultural, Mining or similar
  • Experience with CAD systems, especially Autodesk Inventor or similar programs

Responsibilities :

  • Consult with internal team members and directly with customers to identify customer equipment needs, applications, and performance expectations
  • Customize PHIL product offerings for specific customer problems and applications
  • Examine previous designs and provide feedback for opportunities of improvement
  • Create innovative design solutions for new customer challenges
  • Create various drawings and documents, e.g. sales proposals, product designs, assembly prints, bill of materials, and shipping drawings
  • Collaborate with other Engineering team members to assist on group projects and act as a sounding board for others' projects, reviews others' work
  • Collaborate with Production team members to design products that are manufacturable and user-friendly
  • Use technology to perform load profile assessments and capture 3D images via terrestrial laser scanning
  • Assist with special projects, including research and development, documentation and applications for intellectual property patents, development of department standards, and process documentation
  • Occasionally travel (5-15%) to attend trade shows, training seminars, customer visits, and assist with measuring, installing, diagnosing, and repairing product in the field
  • Accurately clock to jobs for cost accounting data to assist in customer pricing
  • Assist with the training and development of other team members and development of training tools
