About The Position

Job Title : Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer

Profession : Radiology / Cardiology

Specialty : Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day

Hours per Shift : 8 hours (08 : 00 - 17 : 00)

Experience : Minimum of 1 year preferred

License : Basic Life Support

Certifications : ARDMS or CCI Registered in Vascular Technology

Must-Have : ARDMS or CCI Registered in Echocardiography preferred

Description :

Performs echocardiograms, including TEE and intraoperative studies.

Performs vascular studies.

Registered Cardiovascular Technologist possessing a RVT or RVS registry must oversee vascular studies.

Performs stress echos, TCDs, and TCOMs as applicable.

Performs EKGs, stress tests, holter monitoring, and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring.

Covers call as needed; registry eligible technologists may not cover call for vascular studies.

Assists with clerical and reception duties.

Completes all documentation associated with responsibilities.

Maintains continuing education.

Keeps all areas stocked and neat in appearance and participates in cleaning equipment.

In the absence of Registered Cardiovascular Technologist Supervisor, assumes his / her responsibilities.
