Position Summary

The Shift Lead supports daily restaurant operations by guiding team members, ensuring consistent execution of company standards, and delivering an excellent guest experience. This role acts as the leader on duty and works closely with management to maintain service speed, product quality, and operational efficiency.

As a Shift Lead, you will:

• Lead and support Crew Members during shifts to ensure efficient, high-quality operations
• Provide coaching, direction, and real-time feedback to team members
• Deliver excellent guest service and resolve guest concerns professionally
• Ensure order accuracy, service speed, and product consistency meet company standards
• Prepare coffee, espresso drinks, and food items as needed to support operations
• Monitor and enforce food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards
• Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and shift reporting
• Delegate tasks effectively to maintain productivity during peak business periods
• Support training and onboarding of new team members
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment
• Step into Crew Member responsibilities as needed, including drive-thru operations

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or leadership experience preferred
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
• Dependable, accountable, and team-oriented
• Flexible availability, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays

Compensation

Pay Range: $15.16 per hour – $17.16 per hour

Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, location, and business needs.

This position is classified as non-exempt and is eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to perform the following, with or without reasonable accommodation:

• Stand and walk for extended periods
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Bend, reach, stoop, and kneel frequently
• Perform repetitive motions (including hand and wrist movements)
• Work in a fast-paced food and beverage environment

Work Environment

This role operates in a restaurant environment with exposure to coffee equipment, kitchen equipment, drive-thru operations, noise, and fast-paced service conditions. Team members are expected to follow all safety procedures and use appropriate protective equipment.
