"Effective 11 / 30 / 24, IU Health will not allow IN RN’s to work at their facilities (SEE EXCEPTIONS BELOW). The last day for IN RNs to start a NEW contract is 9 / 9 (allows them to finish a contract by 11 / 30).

IU Health is now offering charge pay, which is a $3.00 bill rate bump per hour

MUST BE FLEXIBLE WITH WEEKEND REQUIREMENTS, WEEKEND REQUIREMENT WILL BE BASED ON UNIT NEEDS. TRAVELERS MUST BE ABLE TO WORK 50% OF THE WEEKENDS IN THEIR CONTRACT.

First Time Travelers Accepted

Shift Requirements : 3x12s ONLY

Certification Requirements : BCLS

Skillset Preferences : Central line experience, post-op patient assessments, experience with drains (foleys, JP drains, NG tubes)

Floating Requirements : Unit travelers may be expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) with resources provided if needed at both University and Methodist Hospitals

Staffing Ratios : 1 : 5-6 depending on staffing

Unit Information : 2North is a 15 bed, fast-paced Medical-Surgical unit that specializes in a variety of patient populations. These populations include : Gynecology-Oncology, Gynecology, Hematology / Oncology, Cystic Fibrosis, and Sickle Cell Anemia. Nurses will gain learning, experience, and skills with central lines, drains, physical assessments, and medication administration, including chemotherapy upon certification. 2North values align with the IU Health Values : Team, Compassion, Purpose, and Excellence.
