Position Overview : The Senior Underwriter is responsible for underwriting and clearing conditions for Agency and / or Non-Agency loans. The Senior Underwriter communicates all mortgage loan guidelines to Loan Processors and Loan Officers.

Job Responsibilities :

• Maintain a pipeline within the company's standards : 24-hour turnaround time for final underwrite and 48-hour turnaround time for upfront.
• Analyze and access risk for initial credit decision based on company checklists, internal guides, Agency guides and Investor guides.
• Communicate errors and missing information to processor via email and / or telephone.
• Adjust condition sheet in Encompass with applicable conditions.
• Review resubmission as items are gathered and submitted by the processor.
• Issue final approval uploading all necessary approval documentation into Encompass with appropriate signatures.
• Collaborate with internal departments on any stipulations for closed files.
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
