Description
Foothill Regional is looking for an experienced and compassionate Telemetry Registered Nurse to provide specialized care for patients with cardiac conditions, including heart disease, heart failure, and dysrhythmias. The Telemetry RN monitors cardiac rhythms, manages IV drips, and collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to deliver safe, high-quality, and evidence-based care.
This role involves assessing and responding to changes in patient conditions, administering medications and treatments, coordinating care across disciplines, and mentoring new nurses and support staff.
What You'll Do
- Provides safe, age-appropriate patient care, including medication administration, cardiac monitoring, and required treatments or procedures.
- Identifies changes in patient condition, initiates appropriate interventions, and documents accurately.
- Collaborates with the healthcare team to advocate for patient needs and makes appropriate referrals, including in cases of abuse, neglect, or lack of resources.
- Develops and updates care goals aligned with treatment plans and patient preferences; engages patients in their plan of care.
- Performs ongoing assessments, manages pain effectively, and documents physical and psychosocial findings.
- Reviews diagnostic results, escalates critical findings, and integrates information into the plan of care.
- Ensures practice is evidence-based and compliant with licensure standards, infection control policies, and HIPAA regulations.
- Coordinates care with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care.
- Delegates, supervises, and monitors tasks performed by other healthcare team members.
- Provides patient and family education regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge needs.
- Demonstrates empathy, compassion, and cultural sensitivity in all patient interactions.
- Maintains professional communication and takes ownership of responsibilities to support high-quality care.
- Other duties as assigned.

This is a full-time position. Schedule will consist of 3 12-hour shifts between 7 PM- 730 AM and also include every other weekend.
