Job descriptionSchedule maintenance activities Diagnose and repair equipment involved in the concrete Confer with supervisory engineering personnel, inspectors, and suppliers of tools and Inspect work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and the adherence to construction schedules Prepare or review reports on progress, materials used & costs, and adjusts work schedules Ability to communicate with technical staff acknowledging technical requirements and Cost control Adhere and perform Health and Safety rules / regulations Perform other related duties as required and assigned High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; associate’s degree preferred 5+ years’ experience in a Foreman / Superintendent position Strong background in Concrete Formwork and Placement Experience with transportation projects and bridge work Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public Ability to apply common sense understanding in order to deal with problems involving Computer Skills : Microsoft Office Factory experience a plus Excellent written and verbal communication skills
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Directly supervise labor crews in the concrete operations
- Confer with and direct supervisory personnel in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays
- Responsible for organizing manpower
- Ensure labor crews meet timely production
- Coordinate with various vendors to schedule deliveries
- Order procurement of tools and materials to be delivered at specified times to conform to
work schedules
