RESPONSIBILITIES
- Directly supervise labor crews in the concrete operations
- Confer with and direct supervisory personnel in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays
- Responsible for organizing manpower
- Ensure labor crews meet timely production
- Coordinate with various vendors to schedule deliveries
- Order procurement of tools and materials to be delivered at specified times to conform to
work schedules
Schedule maintenance activitiesDiagnose and repair equipment involved in the concreteConfer with supervisory engineering personnel, inspectors, and suppliers of tools andmaterials to resolve construction problems and improve construction methods
Inspect work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and the adherence to construction schedulesPrepare or review reports on progress, materials used & costs, and adjusts work schedulesas indicated by reports
Ability to communicate with technical staff acknowledging technical requirements andtechnical instructions
Cost controlAdhere and perform Health and Safety rules / regulationsPerform other related duties as required and assignedQUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; associate’s degree preferred5+ years’ experience in a Foreman / Superintendent positionStrong background in Concrete Formwork and PlacementExperience with transportation projects and bridge workAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulationsAbility to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manualsAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general publicAbility to apply common sense understanding in order to deal with problems involvingseveral concrete variables
Computer Skills : Microsoft OfficeFactory experience a plusExcellent written and verbal communication skills
