IT Infrastructure Project Manager

Position Summary

At TEKsystems we are working with an organization seeking a highly capable and technically astute IT Infrastructure Project Manager to lead and coordinate a portfolio of 40–50 concurrent infrastructure projects along with future projects. This role requires a deep understanding of IT systems, particularly networking, and the ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics while keeping projects on track and stakeholders aligned.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a high volume of infrastructure projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and alignment with business goals.
• Leverage deep technical knowledge to guide project planning, risk assessment, and execution—especially in networking and systems infrastructure.
• Work across diverse teams, including those with conflicting priorities, to drive consensus and maintain momentum.
• Serve as the central point of contact for stakeholders, helping to organize and prioritize initiatives based on business impact and resource availability.
• Anticipate and manage political challenges within the organization, maintaining professionalism and objectivity.
• Take a hands-on approach to creating and maintaining clear, comprehensive project documentation, including plans, timelines, and status reports.
• Hold team members and stakeholders accountable for deliverables, while maintaining a reasonable and empathetic leadership style.
• Collaborate with a capable technical team responsible for the physical implementation of infrastructure projects.
• Continuously refine project management processes to improve efficiency, transparency, and stakeholder satisfaction.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2, or equivalent certification required.

5+ years of project management experience in IT infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on networking.

Strong technical acumen and ability to engage with complex IT systems.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00 / hr.
