Board Certified Music Therapist

Full Time postion, ranging from $35-$50 per hour based on experiene and skill set, Tuesday through Saturday

What you will do :

Plan, organize, direct, or assess clinical and evidenced-based music therapy interventions to positively influence resident’s physical, psychological, cognitive, or behavioral status

What you will need :

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in music or music therapy from an accredited program.
• Board certification from the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT).
• Strong musical skills and proficiency in at least one instrument
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities include but aren’t limited too :

Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that incorporate music to achieve specific therapeutic goals.

With the resident utilize a variety of music therapy techniques, including songwriting, improvisation, music listening, and guided imagery, to facilitate healing and personal growth.

Collect data and assess resident needs to facilitate the best care approach to intervein with music modalities

Monitor and document clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed based on regular assessments and feedback

Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, educators, and family members to provide comprehensive care and support, working loosely with the Interdisciplinary Team to formulate a plan for holistic resident goals

Promote education and advocacy for clients, families, and the community about the benefits of music therapy and advocate for its inclusion in treatment plans.
