Video Production
Conceptualize, plan, and execute video projects from start to finish, including pre-production tasks such as storyboarding, scriptwriting, and shot lists, as well as production and post-production editing.
Event Coverage
Attend university events, including chapel services, lectures, campus activities, and special events, to capture compelling footage that highlights the vibrancy of campus life and the university's mission.
Interviews and Testimonials
Conduct interviews with students, faculty, staff, and alumni to gather testimonials and stories that showcase the impact of our university community.
Creative Content Development
Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team to develop creative concepts for video content that effectively communicates key messages and engages our target audience.
Equipment Management
Ensure that all video equipment is properly maintained, organized, and utilized efficiently to achieve optimal results in video production.
Brand Consistency
Maintain consistency in visual style, tone, and messaging across all video content to reinforce the university's brand identity and values.
Multimedia Integration
Work closely with other members of the Marketing and Communications team to integrate video content into various multimedia platforms, including the university website, social media channels, email campaigns, and digital signage.
Professional Development Requirements
Skills
A strong understanding of camera operation, composition, lighting techniques, and framing is essential. This includes proficiency in using various types of cameras and equipment to capture high-quality video footage.
Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar programs is crucial. The ability to edit footage creatively while maintaining a cohesive narrative and visual style is important.
The ability to conceptualize and convey compelling narratives through video content is essential.
Training Required
Ongoing participation in videography and marketing seminars, webinars, and conferences to stay updated on industry trends and technologies.
Obtain and keep current FAA Part 107 drone certification and operate drones. Required Qualifications (minimal skills needed to succeed at the job)
Qualifications
Professional
Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Digital Media, Communications, or related field.
Proven experience in videography, including proficiency with camera operation, lighting techniques, and video editing software (e.
g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
Strong storytelling skills with the ability to translate complex ideas and narratives into compelling visual content.
Knowledge of best practices in video production, including cinematography, audio recording, and post-production editing.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Personal
Adaptable and able to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and work efficiently under pressure is important in a fast-paced production environment.

Physical Demands
